Mod Archive 2008 Additions torrent available
Thanks to jantore, our torrent maker and core seeder, we now have a snapshot of all of the additions added to the archive during 2008. It's approximately 1.4gb of compressed modules, which are sorted by format, then letter. As we always ask, if you download this torrent, please try and keep it seeded so that you participate in the distribution effort after you have leeched it.
You can view the torrent tracker and download the torrent file from our tracker, here.
Happy new year!

TMA - Lightweight!
That little link up in the top left corner of each page on The Mod Archive links to my newest little sub-project which is a very very cut down and no-frills version of The Mod Archive.
It initially was meant to be a demonstration of the API I had programmed, however, it turns out that TMALite has been a popular choice for low bandwidth connections during the trial period test. It's beneficial to devices with access via mobile networks or dial-up, and easy display on WIFI enabled PDAs etc... It is coded so that it should work on very old browsers, such as the bundled browser with Windows Mobile 2003 - although that's just a theory and not actually been tested by myself.
The Lite version of TMA is hosted on a friends machine somewhere up in Norway, however the downloads and the actual data you see on it is coming directly from the main Mod Archive system(s)!
If you have a blog and would like to spread the word; point your links to lite.modarchive.org.
Wishing you all happy holidays, seasons greetings, and a prosperous new year 2009.

P.S By the way, a little message is hidden on the background image of the Seasonal Theme. ;-)
